Crowds were something Ezra was use to, being in the coven. But it still could get over whelming at times. Even if one did know how to work it properly. And with it being Thanksgiving, people were much more sociable than a standard meeting or what have you. It was only a matter of time before he snuck off to find some solitude. Or at least a moment alone to breathe. But leave it to Elia to find him.
He grinned as she stepped out onto the deck. “Competition?” A brow raised in question. “I wasn’t aware there were any other competitors that came close to the running.” Another grin as he eyed the plates in her hands, taking the one offered to him. With a quick glance at the offerings, he smiled at her. She knew him so well.
Taking a bite of turkey, he looked over at her. “So. What shall we be thankful for this year? I for one am thankful for your dress...” He smirked as his eyes moved up her crossed legs, skin bare to the world. “Also thankful that it’s not the seventeen hundreds where you’d be forced into a floor length dress and a cap.” The image of her hiding her locks under a bonnet type hat made him chuckle to himself. For a moment he wondered how anyone from back then could find a woman’s hair so scandalous. But then again as he glanced to her, he could somewhat understand the nature of its hypnotic and alluring ways.
