"You didn't know whether it was safe to tell me?! Are you listening to yourself?" He paused in his pacing to shoot her a look that could kill, his face turning red. "I've gone on and on about what we have here. The herd, our bathing in the river rituals, the protection I give to them. And you still didn't feel safe?" Ivarr rolled his eyes skyward. She was only making him angrier, and he wasn't being very reasonable because he was having to reel himself in so hard, keeping himself from doing something that would get him killed. It wasn't worth dying over. It wasn't worth Management snuffing out the life of a rare type of fairy.
"You did go about it all wrong." Ivarr carried on pacing. "So I'm not going to let you in. Not until you prove that I can trust you. Because so far, you haven't been very honest, and that doesn't make good herd material, and the fact that you couldn't trust me doesn't bode well for the relationship either." He grumbled under his breath, irritated that he had forgotten why he had come in there in the first place, to check up on his herd. "You can do your job, but don't shift in here again."
