The hand sliding onto the small of his back startled him for only a moment before a ghost of a smile touched his lips again. There for a moment before it was gone again. The hand on the other side of Kit and Meredith rose and went back, the vampire giving no indication of what he was about to do, nor was there any after. His fingers slid over Kit's, up to his wrist, and back before he dropped his hand again. It was a quick little motion that gave the older vampire the reassurance that the touch was accepted and appreciated it. It was as if, afterwards, he felt calmer. He did, however, notice their female companion looking a little out of sorts after it happened. He would have asked her about it but they both responded to him.
"It seems it will be a new experience for the three of us." Booker noticed the soft feeling of extra the longer they walked connected like this and he could feel his worries start to slip just a little bit. That should have worried him further but he just didn't find it in him. He found himself smiling softly as he looked up into the sky. There was no doubt that the sight of their prayers was exquisite. Beautiful. A wonder of its own. Like Meredith, he thought he'd never experience it either and he said so, out loud. "Neither did I." Voice soft, he turned towards Meredith, the smile lost but the edge of that softness stayed. If Blair had been with the three of them, she would have pointed it out in their thoughts. Probably sing it in the way of a Disney song or something.
"Would you like to send a few up to join their prayers?"
