"Everyone should indulge a bit sometimes," Gabe teased, though he didn't head towards any of the stalls selling sweets. He, like Eden, needed something more substantial at the moment. Instead, he made his way towards one of the fast food carts. Those were definitely meat-heavy, which Gabe suspected would suit Eden just fine if he liked his protein as he'd said. "So this isn't the healthiest of choices or anything but it's really good. Maybe not as good as some of the stuff you can get at The Cottage, which does awesome food if you've got some time, but still, it's something."
It took Gabe only a few moments to order his food and receive it, waiting until Eden also had his before leading the other man over to the Dining Hall. Squeezing in amongst the patrons, he settled down in a vacant spot before returning his attention to Eden. "I kinda get it," he said, thinking on what the other man had said. "In the real world, you have to hide who you are because being a supernatural is rare. But here, you don't have to hide it because everyone has something different about them and everyone knows it, even if they don't know specifics or anything." Pausing to take a bite from his burger, Gabe mused on the fact that Eden apparently came from a family of supernaturals. It led him to wonder, not for the first time since they had bumped into one another, what exactly the other man was.
It was with that in mind that Gabe looked across the table, his smile turning tentative as he asked: "What are you? You don't have to tell me if you don't wanna talk about it but, well, I'm curious."
