Kit wasn't entirely sure why Niamh looked at him the way she did after asking her question, though it wasn't something to dwell upon. There were more pressing things to discuss. "I've already got some," he admitted, though he was quick to continue before Niamh took his words for a refusal. "They come and go though. Part time. Sirens who would rather be doing their own things than be labelled anyone's assistant."
It was rare for such an offer to be made, considering Management typically had a plan for them all upon signing a contract, yet perhaps this had been the reason that Niamh had been assigned here of all places. She didn't have a fixed skill but she could be useful. "The job's yours if you want it," he said with a faint smile. "It's not too hard. You just have to help tie me up so tightly that the crowds are amazed when I somehow manage to get out of them."
