Ivarr rolled his eyes and let out a huff of breath. "That can't be the only reason! You just wanted to come to river with exclusive access and cool off." His tone gave away that he was messing around with her, the skin at the corners of his eyes crinkling with humor. "What is the big deal about bacon grease?" He brushed the wet hair from his face and rubbed his left eye with a knuckle, his body language continuing to give away just how tired he was.
"Wait, so there's a doll in your trailer but you didn't have any nightmares or bruises?" He fell silent while he pondered over that information, brows knitting together. "Maybe..." he trailed off, then looked over at her. "Maybe it's safe. I should try before tonight." Ivarr tended to have the attention span of a gnat, and he was already losing interest in sitting there drinking. It was part of the reason it was so incredible that he had spent so long talking to this girl on the computer. "You know there are other things to use for trade? He seems to know he got a bad deal. Might not do it again," he pointed out. Pushing himself out of the shallows, he swam back out into the current. "See ya, kid!" he called back to her, not giving any more explanation than that for his leaving.
