This was not the first time he’d ever experienced ice.
It was the first time he’d experienced the element in such a delicate and dominating form. This was unlike anything that he’d ever come upon in his lifetime, not even the snowy, winter months at the Estate matched in magnitude. It was beautiful. Cold and yet inviting. Eden liked it immensely the moment his blue eyes were laid upon it.
Eden had heard the soft padding of footsteps. It was no surprise, children and parents alike wandered around him with the same expression of wonder that he held now. He would’ve gotten entirely lost in the moment had it not been for that greeting, the way his name left her lips.
Turning to behold the woman, Aria, Eden smiled and nodded. “You’re Aria, then.” His words were almost playful. Eden hadn’t bothered to shift, he ran hotter than humans did because of the curse. He’d brought warm enough clothing that would satisfy appearances.
