Ignorant to Eric's current thoughts regarding his true nature, Gabriel shifted his position once the lamp began to heat up and the bubbles of wax inside the glass began to move. It was hypnotic, watching as the colours bounced off one another, and he kept his gaze fixed on it even as Eric reached out to him and manoeuvred him back onto the sofa beside him.
"Whatever you want," Gabe said quietly, leaning over and placing a quick peck to the corner of Eric's mouth before returning his attention to the lamp as he leaned against the merman's side. He watched for a few more moments before closing his eyes with a soft sigh, letting the sounds of the ocean waves lull him into a calmness that he had always felt whenever he had been beside the sea growing up. It wasn't the same but it was close enough.
