Who: Eric and Iris. What: IDKMYBFF Where: Lagoon. When: November 13, just after dark. Warnings: TBD.
Eric woke up in his tank to see a doll floating at eye level, along with hand-shaped bruises on his body, He lurched in the water, kicking the doll away from him on instinct before remembering his theory that the dreams had gotten worse when he'd broken the first doll. Frowning at it, he brought it up from the tank and out from his trailer, setting it down on his little porch carefully, patting its head. "Nice doll." He said to it. "See? I am treating you nice. No more dreams, please." Yesterday, since he hadn't felt like performing in the midst of all the creepy dolls, the Ringmaster had come down on him, both verbally and through whatever fire-magic the Ringmaster had. So that meant he had to go back to the lagoon, had to swim in doll-infected waters, and Eric tugged on his jeans with a sigh and headed out, padding bare-footed to the lagoon.
On the ledge, he glanced down into the water, already spotting a few of the dolls. With another heaving sigh, he dove in. Already, guests were filtering in to see him swim and he didn't disappoint. He still twisted, turned, and spun quickly to make his colours blur together but, while he was performing, he was carefully scooping up the dolls from the bottom of the lagoon, one at a time. There was an outcropping of rock at the center of the aquarium, so he placed them there gently, talking to them. "Nice dolls. Pretty dolls." He crooned. "No more hitting me. No more bruises. We having nice time together."
Trying to avoid them hadn't worked. Trying to go to the one man who had the power and authority to fix things hadn't worked and had just gotten him burned for his trouble. Really, he was going to have to think about whether he wanted to stay somewhere that was so cavalier about his safety, but, for now, he just wanted the dolls out of his water. Finally, he was finished, not a single doll left in the water, so he sighed out a deep breath that turned into bubbles as he sank down to sit on a rock, resting in full view of the guests tapping on the glass. Really, it just made everything more annoying, that noise, and Eric was irritated enough already, but he did his best to ignore it, letting the cool water soothe his nerves.
