WHO: Lucius and Louisa
WHAT: Someone else is at the door...
WHERE: Severus' quarters
WHEN: Valentine's evening
WARNINGS: extreme embarrassment/amusement
Few people were happier that this war was over than Louisa. Well, perhaps the people in Somalia were happier to not be ruthlessly killed, but they would probably have preferred a different outcome altogether. Louisa no longer needed to worry about her brother, or her father, and she no longer needed to teach. She could go back to being Severus' assistant instead. Of course, that meant she had duties to do in Severus' office, but today, Valentine's day, she had more important duties. Girlfriend duties.
Louisa was no cook, and so she did not even bother to try and make Severus a nice meal. Instead, she found food that didn't need to be cooked and laid it out on a table. She decorated the room with red cloth, and just the right amount of candlelight to be romantic without making it difficult to see. There were rose petals, and there was champagne. She spent time in the bath, making her skin soft. Louisa had never been much of a girl for make-up, but she applied lip-gloss to make her lips look nice, wiped it off because she felt self-conscious, and then put some more on again because she realised she was being silly. She was wearing clothes that she knew Severus liked, and she had on new underwear. All-in-all, it was as romantic as Louisa got, and she hoped he liked it.
Severus' last lesson of the day, thankfully, was mid-afternoon, and she had already told him to come straight to see her rather than back to his office. When the door began to open, Louisa leaped to her feet and ran lightly to the door, ready to greet him as soon as he came in.
