Jacob glanced at Bella, not really believing her words. It wasn't fine for her. He however didn't say anything, preferring not to talk about Bellas child.
He then chuckled. "I bet it isn't", he agreed. "Someone should tell Alice that." He however had the feeling that the small vampire wouldn't care.
"Good", he said. "The red might scare people away." He guessed that usually was a good thing. But Bella wasn't evil. She just didn't have it in her, vampire or not. He was sure of that.
Jacob then laughed. "Yeah, right. You would have managed to get yourself killed even if there was no war", he said trying to look innocent. She had been on the best way to do that back home. He really did believe she was dead.
"I guess they do. Whoever is powerful enough to bring us here probably knows a lot, too", he said.
"I've been told", he then answered rolling his eyes, while rubbing the spot she shoved him. "I guess you won't break your hand anymore when hitting me. Looks like I'll have to behave from now on."
He then grabbed her key and led her towards her room.
