Bella simply nodded, not trusting herself to speak until she composed herself. She was holding onto a certain amount of denial, she had so far convinced herself that she would see her baby and Edward soon. There was no need to panic yet. It took a few long moments but she finally spoke again, “it’s fine.” Not the most convincing of statements.
“I’m not sure what this outfit was purposed for but silk? Not good for hunting.” Bella laughed lightly and tugged absently at a shredded piece of the dress. Not that she was going to follow that Cullen tradition, she liked wearing her clothes more than once because it meant there was less money spent unnecessarily. Though, she knew Alice had been waiting to redo her whole wardrobe for months now and she couldn't say no to her. The thought of all that shopping made her cringe, how did anyone like it?
“The red will go away but they won’t be the same, no.” Bella frowned, unless she decided to go for contacts but she wasn’t sure if they would work or not and even then they would never be the same brown they were.
Bella nodded, she could understand that. Though she was pretty sure she was supposed to be against werewolves too, even if the smell was disgusting she still wasn’t about to start hating them. “I wasn’t that bad,” she protested stubbornly. Ok, her clumsiness and magnet for danger was a problem before but she wasn’t so sure now. She was dreading finding out. “Thank you so much.” Bella rolled her eyes, “I knew you wouldn’t.”
As he took the book she watched carefully, marvelling in the amount of details of everything yet again. It really was something seeing the world through her new eyes, every little thing was fascinating. Even the dust particles.
“Huh, it’s like they already knew we knew each other.” Bella thought aloud, that was somewhat creepy. Mocking a glare in his direction she gave his arm a gentle shove, “you stink too you know.”
