Jacob was watching her. Her face looked like stone now, but he still could make out the confused look on it. Parts of her old self were shining through. It made him smile.
"Sorry, had to ask. You're one of them now", he said with an apologetic shrug. But then a grin spread on his face again. He just couldn't help it. She was alive!
"Good for you and everyone else here", he said.
"So, just arrived", he said. The look of confusion on her face and the fact that he hadn't smelled her before made him sure that she hadn't been here for long.
"Lucky for you I've been here for about a week. Your personal guide at your service", he said with a grin and bowed slightly. His cheerful mood was coming back completely now. Bella was alive, what more could he ask for? Well, he would have preferred her as a human. But considering why they were here he thought that she might be safer as a vampire. He snorted slightly. He had spent too much time around vampires if he thought anyone was better off as a vampire.
His face then turned serious. "This might sound strange, Bella, but well... what isn't in our lives", he started. He was a werewolf, she a vampire. "Anyway, we've apparently been brought here to fight in the final war of good and evil."
