Jennifer softly snorted when John made his threat. She sat up on her towel, and looked up at him before she used the bottom of it to wipe the sand from her feet. "I look forward to it," she said with a smirk. She finished cleaning her feet off, and took. Picking up her towel, she shook it out before using one of the ends to dry her hair.
Looking at John again, she smiled. "And you're right. I do like your hair. It's adorable, just like you," she said before she even realized what she was saying. Her cheeks warmed with a blush, and she ducked her head. Jennifer was pretty sure John had heard such things from other women, and she didn't know why she was so embarrassed.
She looked up at him again, and noticed he was looking around. Obviously, he was making sure things were safe. It was the type of person John was - he was always looking out for the people around him. Stepping a little closer, Jennifer laid her hand on his arm, and gave him a soft smile. "I don't think we thank you enough," she said. "You put your life on the line, and protect us all the time. That makes you a good man."
Leaning up on her tip-toes, Jennifer softly kissed his cheek, and then pulled back. She looked up at him, and smiled. "And don't try to be modest, and say you're just doing your job. You go beyond what's expected of you, and I think that's one of the many reasons I like you so much," she told him.
