John looked at her a little surprised when she talked about college. He didn't know about that. Elizabeth had been in charge of hiring her and he never saw it necessary to check out her whole file.
"Wow, you're that kind of a genius", he said. He knew she was brilliant, he just had never thought about how she was when she was younger. He however didn't care about things like that. Everyone did what was best for them. Why stay in school longer than you had to, if you knew everything already.
He then started to grin when she said she wanted to learn to surf. "Cool. First sign of waves the next days I'm knocking at your door", he stated with a happy glint in his eyes.
Four Horsemen? Hm, John hadn't thought about that or the religious angle of this at all. "Me neither. But neither did I believe in aliens before I sat down on that chair at the ancient outpost", he said. He remembered well how hard it was at first to believe all of what was his every day life for over 4 years now. "Maybe even more strange stuff is real. Who knows. And Dean said he fights spirits and stuff like that. He didn't seem nuts to me."
He then looked at Jennifer again. "I have a feeling they find anyone everywhere. People here are from all kinds of realities and times. Makes you wonder who is in charge here." He thought in silence for a bit.
"Think it could be some ascended beings? Mending their own rules?" Seemed unlikely, that they suddenly changed their stupid and strict rules.
