Jennifer was glad to have a nice place to sleep, and that her room was next door to John's. It made her feel better knowing she was close to someone she knew. When morning came, she went with him to the shooting range. She was surprised she had done as well as she did. Maybe some of the things Ronon had taught her had actually stayed with her.
When they finished, Jennifer caught herself almost telling John she coudn't wait to tell Ronon how well she'd done. Ronon wasn't there because it wasn't Atlantis. Pushing it to the side, Jennifer decided to not think about it, and have fun hanging out on the beach with John.
Once she was in her two-piece bathing suit, she grabbed a few things, and stuck them in her beach bag. She followed John down to the beach, and smiled. It was beautiful down there, and very peaceful.
Sitting down on her blanket, Jennifer nodded. "I think I was seventeen the last time I actually went to a beach, and it was nothing like this," she said as she lathered her skin in sun block. "Don't want to get sunburned."
When she was finished, she put the sunblock away, and laid back on the towel. Laughing, she shook her head. "I grew up in Wisconsin," she told John. "No oceans there. How about you? Do you know how to surf?"
