Martha stirred and slowly opened her eyes. Her head was placed on her arm on the desk. She groaned slightly and sat up properly. She must have fallen asleep.
Looking around Martha blinked sleepily. Then her eyes fell on the screen next to her. She had been doing research, trying to find any kind of clues about their situation here. She hoped to find something online. But it looked like the internet was as limited as anything else around here. She did find some articles about this war, but they had books about it as well, so nothing new. She found out that she could send an e-mail to anyone that wasn't in this town. Neither could she chat with anyone back home or manage to contact Torchwood or UNIT in any other way.
She must have fallen asleep at her desk eventually. Glancing at the watch Martha sighed. It was the middle of the night. Time to go to her room and into bed.
Getting up Martha frowned. She just couldn't get used to the fact that this desk looked exactly like her desk at Torchwood. And the room next door looked like the medical area in Torchwood. All rooms seemed to be arranged similar to rooms back home. Weird. Maybe whoever brought them here thought it would make things easier.
Martha was on her way to the door when it suddenly opened.
