Laurel didn't know that he had felt like that too, that feeling of abandonment by everyone he cared about. They cared about. He knew her pain. He knew what that was like. He knew what it was like to lose the people close to you and be alone after that.
"A flower garden, huh?" Matt replied, glad that she had the garden. As small as it was, it made her who she was.
"I like to cook," Matt explained, "It's kind of stupid, I know, a blind man shouldn't be anywhere near a stove but I like to make things. To know i still have that independence."
