He practiced whatever law was needed, anything that would help the innocent people of Hell's Kitchen survive. But she didn't need to know that much up front, "My friend and I have our own firm, and right now we're kind of between clients. We seem to end up with people that need our help and can't fend for themselves. So, presently we were doing whatever we needed to in order to help our clients. I guess that's kind of a broad job description, but I suppose that fits better than trying to pick just one thing to call it."
He wasn't a hero by any means. Neither was Foggy. They just cared too much about a city that needed more help than two men could give.
Matt noticed the tone that fluttered out with her words, that wistfulness. They both needed a distraction. "Have you tried this tea yet? It's great. It compliments the cake, if a tea can actually do that. I guess it's kind of surprising how someone can pair tea with cake and have the flavored compliment each other, but I suppose it's not too farfetched. People do it with wine all the time."
