Matt smiled warmly at the teasing. He'd brought it on himself but it was refreshing to know that not everyone was so down in the dumps about being here. It was more fun to be happy and take life as it came. He knew that for experience.
"You should never take a career in puppeteering," Matt teased right back. He stabbed another forkful of Benedict and ate with amusement.
"Waffles are too fancy for me. This..." Matt said, gesturing to his plate of food with his fork, rotating the prongs in the air in slow circles of gesture, "...is a dime a dozen. Along with the pizza, and the hot dogs and whatever else New York is famous for."
He sat back aome in his chair and pronged another piece of muffin, "I'll put you in charge of waffle making. I think if I tried, we wouldn't have a train anymore."
