Roman had spent the afternoon in his car. Or rather, working on his car. That was a typical Saturday or Sunday, depending. He'd gone in the morning to finish up two cars that were sitting in the garage. Once he'd finished them, he'd gone home and planted himself under the hood of the Impala, taking the carb off and cleaning it. There were a couple more things he could have done but he'd find time later to get it ready for winter. At five, he wandered into the house and gave himself some Sportscenter time, checking scores and looking to see who was playing in the baseball playoffs for the day. The rest of the scores he could check after the bar or in the morning before football started.
Finally, he managed to make it to the shower since he was fairly sure Ren wouldn't be pleased if he showed up in the dusty, greasy, grimy clothes that usually came from his work. Now, he didn't see the need to get overly dressed up so jeans and a button up with a beater underneath was his outfit for the evening. Time wasn't something he'd been watching himself either but it never took him long to dress. The night out was something he hadn't done in a while and he'd have to thank Ty later for bringing that to his attention. He'd had no clue why he'd opened his mouth and mentioned going out in the first place. or he did but wasn't going to think into it right now.
No, right now, he was parking after finding his way to Ren's apartment place from the address and directions she's given him. It hadn't taken him long and there hadn't been any problems. Once the Impala was locked, he walked up to her apartment and knocked. It was a little after seven and hopefully she wasn't waiting on him.
