It was the truth. Damon had learned long ago that when you spoke the truth, as much as others spoke lies, people often mistook one for the other. Slaves assumed that since he was a vampire, he lied. Nothing shook them up like realizing he had told the truth. His phone buzzed in his hand, as Stefan replied back. Now Stefan, unlike the slaves, very rarely got the truth.
"And it would seem you've won some approval. Congratulations," he said, quite sure that the human girl didn't care a lick.
