"Candy?" Buffy made a face, looking out the window of the car as they drove, trying to commit as much of the town's layout to memory as she could while making it pass for simple curiosity or perhaps a passion for the scenery. Honestly, Candy probably wasn't much better than the name Buffy. She'd hated it growing up, and she'd been teased endlessly. Really, Mom and Dad. You're rebels in a rural, war-camp set up, and you bestow upon your young the fearsome name of Buffy.
"So, private serious talk time?" she asked, still looking out the window but unable to help her curiosity when it came to what he wanted to talk to her about that couldn't possibly be overheard.
