"I'm occasionally told that I do have a name fit for a small, yappy dog," she had to quip, though it was really kind of a forced joke. It bothered her, the whole idea of being paraded around on a leash. It was hard enough that she wondered if she was really ready for all of this. Those bothersome words of 'Giles might've been right after all' played again and again in her brain.
But then there was mention of food, and Buffy realized that it had been a pretty long time until she'd actually had something real to eat.
"Food would be the best thing ever. Really, you could give me a loaf of bread, and I'd be good right now," the girl had to admit.
