Emerson shoved his hands into the pockets of his coat as he walked, nodding for her to follow him. She had a point. If he was worried about her being a distraction, the silky thing she was currently wearing certainly wasn't going to help that.
"Yeah, I'm doubting you'd like or want to wear any of Gretchen's clothes either. Unless you have a secret love of neon colors and leopard print, sometimes all in the same outfit." Gretchen had been kind of feisty, old lady. "We'll stop by one of the shops on the way home. I fucking hate shopping, though, so just grab whatever you want." Emerson paused mid step, stopping to look over his shoulder at Piper.
"Which reminds me. Can you cook?" he asked with a lop-sided grin, wondering if he was pushing his luck with her yet.
