Re: Holding Pens: Jackson
The handler thought for a long moment. It was more than 550, but less than 615. The boy was rather troublesome having been paddled the day before just to get him to behave. "Alright you have a deal. I will draw up the paper work and be back for you to sign it." He man looked at Jackson before turning and talking to the house.
If he said he would not pay more than 550, then why did he? Jackson chanced a glace at the man's feet. Should he tell him thank you, tell him that he would would be good, the best slave he had ever had? The last two would be a lie. He tried to be good, but it always seemed like he needed to be bad to get his punishment. While he had only been with his last master, he supposed that meant he was pre-used. His leg was beginning to hurt again, but he refused to move, he refused to do anything unless his new master told him so.
The handler returned with title and the rest of the paperwork for Isaiah to sign.
