Like he thought it took Buffy some time to figure out what Ambrose had offered her. It was the same question that he asked all of his past human companions. Their reactions had varied from stunned to a verbal out cry. Buffy was exception to this rule.
"I think you heard me just fine. I am asking if you would mind if I bought you." He put his hands behind his back and clasped them together. "I know it sounds weird for someone like me to be asking a human her permission, but I think you have come to realize that I am not like most of my kind." He looked to the sheet on her pen at her price. It was in the doable range. Granted with his money he could buy three of her without breaking a sweat. He grimaced internally as his supernatural teachers over powered his humanity. She was person, not a thing.
"You can tell me to bugger off and I will leave. I do not wish to force you into anything, as strange as that might sound. I do have to warn you though. I am probably the only one here that would do you no harm." He said, cocking her head to the side.
