His touch was colder than some of the handlers, making her assume that he was a vampire, if Giles' teachings could be trusted. He didn't try any of that suave crap with kissing her hand or anything either. She'd half-expected it judging by how he acted.

The Slayer just kind of stood there, staring at him blankly as her brain tried to process what he'd just said. He'd asked her permission. What kind of undead overlord did that? A good minute had to roll by as she just kind of stood there, awkwardly staring until she found words.
