Re: Main Auction Room: Emerson and Piper
The next one was a woman, not some kid they'd tossed in a slip or some leather. Emerson raised an eyebrow as the Auctioneer rambled on about her for a minute, not paying too much attention to what he was saying. She was more than easy on the eyes, he had to admit. He mostly intended to use whoever he bought to keep the estate clean. After all, he certainly hadn't bought Gretchen for personal gratification. Still, he was in the market, and would it be wrong to purchase someone who nice to look at while they cleaned the house? It wasn't like she had to be particularly skilled either way. Besides, she looked fairly docile.
He hadn't been paying attention to the number they'd priced her at, so he simply raised his number when the Auctioneer called for the bidding to begin, still leaned back casually in his seat.
"2000," he yawned. Luckily the guy he'd antagonized earlier was already gone with his new toy. The number was probably kind of high, but Emerson was kind of a get the job done and leave sort of person, and he was terrible with auctions. Bid high, take her home, profit.
