With his Master entertaining his lover, Hermes had the night free to wander and so he did. He was generally prone to climbing things. The presence of another person out and about that late was the only thing that drew him to the roof that night and not elsewhere on the grounds. He moved as near silently as he'd been trained to and without thinking about it. There was a chance he'd been noticed just as there was an equal shot that this young man was so deeply lost in thought that he hadn't been noticed.
"I don't know that that's a bad thing," Hermes said, pausing a few feet away, pale in the moonlight though not nearly as much as either of the vampires in the estate. "I've been fortunate enough to know several clowns and they were always far wiser than anyone ever gave them credit for."
