Re: Holding Pens: Maya-Stefan-Mikan
Maya had lost interest and gone back to watching the other slaves in the pen. He was bored silly here. There was no-one to talk to, he was locked up like an animal and couldn't go anywhere. To make matters worse, he hadn't been allowed to wash properly in days. He felt disgusting. He'd been dreading being bought, but at least if he was, he could get out of here and clean up. Hygiene was so important to him. Suddenly, Japanese words interrupted his inner thoughts. While his mother hadn't been a very motherly person, she had taught him Japanese, from the moment he was born and had spoken to him mainly in Japanese, so while he considered English his mother tongue, he was just as proficient in Japanese. He looked up, seeing the girl from before, and debated talking to her. To hell with it, he decided. "It's not often I hear people speaking Japanese here," he replied, in Japanese. "Forgive me for asking, but is everything okay?"
