Lucien smiled, Nate was right. Emerson really did care about him. He was more of a father figure than his own father had been. He wasn't afraid to tell Lucien what he needed to hurt or what he wanted to hear.
Lucien nodded, then Nate kissed his hand. "It would have felt like that the next morning. What if I abused my power over you? I know it is well within my rights, but our relationship is not like that. I don't want you to ever think that just because I am drunk, if I ever get myself to that point again, that you have to what I say." He pulled him by his shirt to kiss him lightly.
"I like the way we are." He whispered against his lips. "I don't want that to change, Nate."
