Alice frowned as they walked. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Allison was troubled by her situation. Well, at least by things and people related to her situation. It didn't do to become caught up in such things regardless. The unpleasantness wasn't ever worth it, but thoughts had a way of digging their claws into you, especially the unpleasant ones. Not unlike what Allison said about her mistress.
"She's not good to you," Alice made the deduction. "I won't tell. You don't have to worry. You can even talk about it if you like. I wouldn't remember to say anything to anyone anyhow. My brain is like a boat in the water that's poked full of holes."
