"Shut up, tako," Zoro answered in return with a similarly neutral kind of name-calling. "Hadn't you noticed? Supernatural communities usually have lots of good-looking people. When you can pick and choose who your companions are going to be the way these Masters do, why not pick someone nice to look at?"
There were other criteria Humans were chosen by, of course. Sometimes Supernaturals bred and elected for sheer power, or for political alliance. But beautiful people got preferential treatment more often than not. Zoro counted himself fortunate that he hadn't become a slave who would have to be sold as such damaged goods, and left it at that.
