Allison nodded at Eterna, already wracking her brains for exactly how she could make it up to her. But first, she needed to get Kenzi away from her, so the two could talk in private. As they walked through the house, she half-heartedly showed her the few rooms she'd been in so far, where to eat and where the others roomed, which was where the tour ended as one of the slaves pointed out where there was a spare bed. With the door closed, Allison leant against the door, taking a deep breath.
"I'm sorry." She said, wiping her eyes. She wasn't even sure what she was saying it for - it just felt right, almost as though it would wipe away Kenzi's memory of how weak she was. Lying on the bed next to Kenzi's, her body relaxed against the mattress, and it was only then she realised how uncomfortable a basket was compared to the bed.
"How did you end up here? End up... being sold in the first place?" She glanced at her, frowning. "I wouldn't want this for anyone."
