Buffy didn't budge an inch from where she stood. She wasn't about to force him to do it, but she knew that his excuses were just that at this point. He was afraid. He'd been afraid of losing himself since he'd gained control most likely.
"Well, I do know that you can do it without hurting me. Because it's you and me, and we trust each other," she answered confidently, trying to hold his gaze with hers, her hair still pulled back and away from her neck. "Even if you get out of here, we don't know if your usual place is stocked. We don't know if they still have power to keep their supply... freshish, I guess."
She took a step closer, smiling softly as she smiled up at him and lifted her hand to touch his face. "I'm not scared. I know that you won't kill me. You've been taking care of me and keeping me safe since I got here, even though I was a huge pain in the ass." She laughed and looked down for a second. "Well, maybe not even past tense pain in the ass. I'm still driving you crazy." Buffy shook her head and looked back up at him, her hand still resting on his cheek. "A-anyway. Let me do this for you. Please."
