The good news was that the cabin seemed sturdy, and as long as they kept the door closed, they should be able to keep warm. He had been able to see plenty of food inside, and there was a decent stack of wood up against the outside wall. Damon gathered up as much as he could carry and went back inside.
"We should do alright with the fire," he said, dropping the wood beside the fireplace. "As long as the snow stops and the temperature goes back up, we should be able to get out of here soon enough."
He found a pack of matches on the mantel, and leaned down, trying to light a small pile of kindling.
