Rule 3. Learn to take a hit Lucius slammed into the wall and recovered swiftly, his adrenaline kicking in and swiftly numbing any pain he felt. An advantage that Ambrose would not have against his attacks. Especially now he had distance on his side. Ambrose had to rely solely on close combat and although the vampire could close that distance in the blink of an eye, Lucius was ready.
"Relax, I've been using it on her for years" Lucius smirked just before Ambrose. Anger makes mistakes and so although provoking a vampire is generally not a good idea, it gave him another advantage.
Although fast, the lunge was not at super speed and so it was easy to sidestep so that it was now Ambrose that was hitting the wall. Lucius didn't miss a beat and began his attack the moment he was put of the way.
Rule 4. Exploit their weakness His fingers splayed as he inflicted Ambrose with excruciating pain that gripped his entire being. Vampires, vulnerable to magic - particularly pain infliction. Which Lucius happened to be rather talented at.
"Evie. Upstairs. -NOW!-" Lucius ordered, Ambrose had gone feral and so wouldn't think twice about ripping them apart at this rate. Worrying about them wasn't exactly conductive to the fight and he needed to focus.
