"Hey!" Ambrose jumped up from his seat on the couch. "I understand that you don't have respect for me or for life in general, but I would ask you at least respect my home. No magic inside my house, least of all on a human, especially Evie." He walked closer to him. "If you don't like what she says then, ignore it. I don't deem it as weakness on your part, just strength."
"And please, Buffy, try not to make this any worse." He said, trying to calm her, but not to repeat what Lucius was doing to Evie. "Lucius just thinks he can do whatever he wants, to show other people that he is big and tough and not to be messed with. But I will not hesitate to put you in your place if you keep using magic in my home." He looked briefly outside.
"At the rate of the hail coming down, I suspect we will all me stuck her, together, for the foreseeable future. If we all can get along, even for the next little while, then maybe we can all make it out of her alive."
