"Pick a new idol, Buffy. Giles is not worthy of your praise. I have read the books, all of them. I know everything. All the details that Giles left out, I know the truth about the lies he told you. Yes, the others were mostly killed by Witches but not because their Watcher didn't get there in time" Lucius told her before stopping himself, he had said too much already but he could not stand the idea of Buffy idolising Giles.
Evie's reaction surprised him somewhat, he had not seen such anger from her before. He expected that sort of thing from Buffy but not her. Somehow Evie acting like this angered him yet he managed to mostly control himself. He wasn't going to kill her at least.
"Shut up, Evienne" Lucius snapped, splaying his fingers momentarily as he cast a small spell to temporarily stop her from being able to speak. More effective than a gag yet not anywhere near as sexy.
"If you can't control yourself then I shall have to do it for you. I see now I have been far too lenient with you. Everything I have done has been in your best interests. You have no self-awareness and constantly put yourself in danger. I just want to put a stop to the suppression of your desires. I want to set them free. If that is evil then so be it!" Lucius glowered at her for a moment before his gaze softened, an almost apologetic smile momentarily played on his lips.
"Yes, people change Buffy. I have, for better or for worse, I've changed. Those at the camp changed and turned against me even though I was never a threat to them. Nothing stays the same forever, everything changes. It's adapt or die. I chose to survive" Lucius sighed slightly, he had often wished that things had been different. Mostly during the nights where he had slept on the forest floor whilst trying to find civilisation. That he hadn't been discovered or that when he was they could have accepted him or at least not done what they had. Wishing got you nowhere, no matter how many stars or 11:11's passed. The supernatural force that had helped him had been himself and it was all he could rely on.
Lucius turned to look out of the window, not that he needed to. He could feel the storm, feel the magic that hung thick in the air around it in order to feed it. Weather spells were in no way his specialty although he had made it rain in the past in order to stop crops from dying back at the camp. This was much bigger however and they would have to wait for it to pass.
"I can confirm that this is the product of witchcraft, I can practically taste the magic that is producing it" Lucius shrugged, it was a dark magic as well. Apparently he was not the only Witch to use blood magic around here.
