It wasn't the look Carrick gave Leo that set off his submission. It was his voice. The tone, the wording, he sounded just like Leo's old Master and before the werelion could stop himself he lowered his head in submission. He even tried to make himself look smaller, something his werewolf Master had liked.
"I'm not doing this for money, sir," Leo said knowing he shouldn't be bowing his head but damn if it didn't feel good. It felt like the pressure was off of his shoulders, something he hadn't felt since he had been free. "I'm doing this for the fighters. If I was doing this for money I wouldn't have been against your offer in the first place."
