Emerson calculated those words in his mind, trying to make logical sense of the message without actually having seen it.
"It doesn't sound like anything happened from just that. It's the 'when she's less likely to kill us' thing that makes me think so." At least nothing consensual, but Emerson wasn't about to suggest that to Ambrose at this point in time. "There was probably some kind of fight, physical... with words... Who knows? The important thing is that she's alive. I wouldn't run over there to pick her up, though. You'll just get pissed the fuck off, and trust me. You don't want to fight a witch on his turf. That'll just end poorly considering I'm willing to bet this guy has power over his own domain among other things." He made a face, looking at Ambrose. "You might have to just let him take her home and hope he's not dumb enough to stick around. That sound like something you can handle?" he asked.
