Well, he definitely still had that skill thing over her. Slayer constitution or not, the strike to her sternum hit her hard, and her eyes went wide. The attempt to knock her off of her feet was quite successful as a result, and she hit the ground hard.
Buffy struggled, trying to regain her footing as he lectured her, the advice only serving to make her more upset, especially on account of how right her was. But she wasn't about to just throw in the towel. Not yet. A crucial part of this whole thing had been to find out if Daniel was really gone. Continuing would show her that. She was sure of it. She caught her breath finally, and picked herself up, hopping to her feet in spite of the pain that still shot through her body. She'd long since learned to fight through the pain. Immediately her foot hot out high this time in a roundhouse aimed around his shoulder level.
"Thanks for the advice, Danny," she answered, a little more spent than she'd been earlier in the fight as was evident in her voice as she deliberately used his former name. "I'll take that into consideration and get back to you."
