"Well, what do you suggest that I do, then?" Buffy asked, her own voice rising to match his. She had to stand too since he had, and they were yelling now. What if there was some cruel, twisted demon sacrificing slaves to its evil god or whatever? Would you let me go off to stop that? Because I'd kind of have to."
She folded her arms over her chest. "You changed how I see things, but that doesn't change the fact that I still have a job to protect people from the ones that are evil. With Daniel, I know I have a chance of reaching him at least," she tried to keep her voice level, but it was hard with as straining as the topic was. "He won't hurt me. Not again.
