The idea that Derek could just forget that Stiles was somehow insulted by the werewolf's lack of trust was laughable. If the boy only knew the reasons why. If only Stiles knew that when he was younger than Stiles he'd trusted blindly, and as a result he'd lost everything.
But what did it matter? It was clear that the boy needed something that Derek couldn't give him, and that was that.
"You keep doing that," Derek said, quietly. He didn't physically move to restrain Stiles, nor did he chastise him for rising to the door. What was the point? "Offering to get Isaac. Why?"
