Buffy slid into the passenger seat, buckling herself up. Geez, this guy didn't skimp on anything. He still sounded a little bit on edge though, which made her feel a pang of regret that was instantly followed by confusion at the fact that she was regretting anything she'd said to the guy who'd just bought her.
"Getting angry's normal," she asked, looking to her left and up at him. She didn't say human, but the thought crossed her mind. "And I'm very good at making people angry, so don't give yourself too hard of a time. You lasted much longer than the last victim I subjected to my cruel, unusual, and incredibly witty tortures." She was pretty sure Grumbles the handler had discussed euthanasia when it came to her particular case back when she'd been in the pens.
