Buffy actually looked a little surprised when he raised his voice, clearly not putting up with her sass today. She tried not to let it bother her; honestly, she'd been kind of trying to push his buttons. She followed his eyes to the wall hanging, that number that meant nothing to her but clearly something to him.
"Alright, I'll behave. But only because you're having a bad day and buying me pants," she relented as she got to her feet and followed him to the door. "Joking. In a a less bratty way that time, honest," she clarified before stepping out the door and into the world where she'd really be put to the test of following those rules.
