Jenn almost told Emrys that thinking too much had been the problem or thinking wrongly too much anyway. Everything was warped here and now she had to pay the price of getting it wrong and screwing up. Hopefully the price would be high and not too far away, she was surprised that although her Master was angry at her that he was not beating her like he had Emrys. She wouldn't mind him losing it at her, she had been expecting it after all.
She carried Emrys things through to the Master bedroom in silence, the presence of the books in the spare room showed yet another difference between the two slaves. Emrys could read. Her eyes lingered over one of the titles, trying to sound the words out aloud in an attempt to work out what the word was.
When her Master returned she was surprised to hear that she would be keeping the Journal, although perhaps her Master wanted to read her thoughts on what was going on. To see how she was doing without having to look at her.
Jenn bowed her head respectfully before heading back to the spare room, Emrys following her. She did not bother to close the door or make sure that Emrys wasn't watching when she let her clothing fall gracefully to the floor. She stepped out of the clothes, turning and kneeling. She gathered the clothes and folded them for Emrys to take from her.
