Rather than give permission, Derek stood up, and moved to stand in front of Stiles. "If what you thought and felt didn't matter, I wouldn't have asked," he pointed out, quietly. "You're upset that I don't trust you yet when a week ago you wanted nothing to do with me," he reminded the boy, giving him some much needed perspective. "Yes, we've been making progress, but it hasn't been easy. Do you really blame me for being cautious?"
