Alice watched him with a frown. He was a puzzling Master and not at all what she'd expected. She'd thought that whomever purchased her wouldn't be concerned at all about her feelings or her wants, even if she herself didn't know what those were. Her expression seemed unreadable, but inside her mind was a whirlwind.
"You're right. I probably don't understand," she finally said simply, standing up to follow him, just a few, proper steps behind. "I don't know what's it like to have decisions I make effect so many people, but I don't think I would like it much."
